Substance Abuse Treatment for women

Substance Use Disorders

Recovery That Honors the Whole Woman

Addiction Is Not Who You Are. It’s What You’ve Survived.

Women experience addiction differently.
Not just biologically — but emotionally, relationally, and socially.

At Bella Vita Wellness, we treat Substance Use Disorders with clinical rigor, soul-deep compassion, and a profound understanding of the female experience. Whether it’s alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, cannabis, or stimulants, our approach goes far beyond detox and abstinence. We look at the why behind the what — and create space for deep, lasting transformation.

A Safe, Supportive Beginning

For many, healing starts with detox — a critical window that requires expert care and emotional support.  But what happens next?

Our service begin after the completion of detox  and are designed to continue the post detox care with 24/7 medical support and ongoing symptom management. We understand how fear and shame can accompany this process, and we walk beside you every step of the way.

You Are Not a Template. Your Treatment Shouldn’t Be Either.

Each guest experience begins with a comprehensive assessment, which includes traditional psychological and sociological assessments, but expands deeper into the physical wellbeing of the individual with the sole focus on understanding and identifying potential conflicts or cooccurring issues. Together our expert medical and clinical team work with the individual to establish a treatment built around her unique needs, preferences, and goals. Core modalities include:

  • Individual therapy, rooted in trauma-informed approaches like EMDR and somatic experiencing
  • Physical health and wellness
  • Daily group therapy, fostering connection, vulnerability, and insight
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when clinically appropriate
  • Psychoeducation, first-steps, and coping skills training
  • Nutritional therapy to support physical recovery and hormone balance
  • Mind-body practices such as breath work, yoga, and guided meditation
  • Experiential Therapy programs like expressive-art therapy

We treat the emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual aspects of recovery — because addiction lives in all of them.

Why Women-Only Care Matters

The Space to Be Seen, Heard, and Safe

Women often face addiction in the context of trauma, caregiving burdens, societal pressure, and unspoken pain. In a women-only environment, there is room to explore these realities without judgment or interruption. Safety becomes sacred. Trust becomes possible. Healing becomes real.

Our all-female team of therapists, medical providers, and support staff brings deep expertise in gender-responsive treatment. We understand the nuanced ways addiction can present in women — from high-functioning alcoholism to prescription misuse hidden behind perfectionism. And we respond with empathy, not labels.
